Ferroalloys

Ferroalloys — alloys of iron with silicon, manganese, chromium and other elements used in steelmaking for deoxidation and alloying of liquid metal, binding of harmful impurities, giving the metal the desired structure and properties, as well as alloying and modifying cast iron.
Our company has long-standing business relationships with reliable and well-known manufacturers of ferroalloys.

Ferromanganese, a ferroalloy whose main components are iron and manganese. Carbon ferromanganese, containing 75–79% Mn, up to 7% C (the rest is Fe and impurities), is obtained in ore-thermal or blast furnaces from manganese concentrate. Medium- and low-carbon (refined) ferromanganese, containing 86–89% Mn, up to 1.5 and up to 0.5% C (respectively), are obtained in ore-thermal furnaces by silicothermic method from silicomanganese, manganese concentrates and low-phosphorus manganese slag.

 Application area

For deoxidation and alloying of steels, alloys and cast iron;
For coating welding electrodes.
Ferromanganese is used for deoxidation and alloying of steel, alloys and cast iron, as well as for coating welding electrodes. In steelmaking, ferromanganese is used as a deoxidizer in the production of almost all grades of steel and as an alloying element in the smelting of low alloy and special steels.
The surface of the pieces of ferromanganese should not have foreign materials.
Traces of non-stick (lime, sand) materials, slag film, inclusions of slag and graphite are allowed.
Ferromanganese is supplied in pieces weighing no more than 20 kg or in crushed form. Crushed ferromanganese is supplied in fineness classes.

Specifications:
